Synopsis
Hope Morgan sets out to begin a new chapter of her life-fulfilling her childhood dream of running a ranch in the picturesque town of Ruidoso, New Mexico and reviving the beloved Giddy Up Gala.
Having just become an empty-nester with her daughter Maggie off to college, independent Denverite Hope Morgan is fulfilling her dream by buying a ranch in Ruidoso, NM, where she spent much time in her formative years with the strongest memories of her time there being the annual Giddy Up Gala. She bought the specific property, which she’s named Hope Ranch, largely due to one of the recently renovated outbuildings, where she plans to hold a resurrected Giddy Up Gala a few weeks after she has moved in. She runs into one problem after another both in getting the ranch running properly and getting ready for the Giddy Up Gala. While she wants to do and fix everything on her own, she doesn’t mind the occasional offer of help from her neighbor, Tom Grayson, in their attraction to each other. But the one person she wants no help from at all is Jack Bennet, the new owner/operator of the local tack and feed shop, as Jack is not only the older brother of Hope’s best friend, Lori Bennet, but Hope’s ex-boyfriend, they having broken up for a second time ten years ago when Jack moved to New York City. In learning about Hope’s new life, Jack bought the shop in a proverbial grand gesture in order to win her back. The questions become whether both Hope and Jack can make their individual lives work in Ruidoso, and if so if Jack can convince Hope that a third time will be lucky for them.—Huggo
